# Deploy your first application

Learn how to sign up for Sliplane and the different ways to manage your infrastructure.

## Create an Account

Sign in at [sliplane.io](https://sliplane.io) with GitHub. Your Sliplane account is created on first login. If needed, [create a GitHub account](https://github.com/signup) first.

## Deploy your first service

1. [Create a project](/projects/getting-started) or open an existing one.
2. Click **Deploy service**.
3. Select a server or create one in your preferred location.
4. Click **Add service** and choose a source below.

### Deploy a Preset

Choose a preset from the [catalogue](https://sliplane.io/apps), review its settings, then click **Add service** and **Deploy**.

### Deploy a container image

Choose **Registry**, enter your image and configuration, then click **Add service** and **Deploy**. See [registry deployment](/services/deploying-a-service#deploy-from-a-registry) for image URLs and private registry credentials.

### Deploy from GitHub

Choose **Repository**, select your repository and branch, then click **Add service** and **Deploy**. Sliplane automatically builds and deploys new commits.

A Dockerfile is optional. Sliplane uses it when present; otherwise, [Railpack](https://railpack.com/) detects and builds your application. See [GitHub deployment](/services/deploying-a-service#deploy-from-github) for repository access and build settings.

> **info**
>
> Sliplane’s Docker Compose parser can import a subset of Compose settings. Review the generated service configuration before deploying.
