Learn how automatic SSL/HTTPS works at Sliplane.

Public HTTP services get free SSL/HTTPS on their `sliplane.app` subdomains and [custom domains](/services/custom-domains). Certificates renew automatically.

## How does it work?

Sliplane obtains certificates from [Let’s Encrypt](https://letsencrypt.org/) and handles HTTPS. Your application only needs to listen for HTTP on the port specified by `PORT`.
