# Deleting a Team

Prepare and permanently delete a Sliplane team.

Only the owner can delete a team. Before continuing:

* Export any data you want to keep.
* Delete the team's services and servers.
* Delete its managed PostgreSQL databases.
* Delete its Object Storage buckets and wait for deletion to complete; a bucket still in its deletion grace period blocks team deletion.
* Settle outstanding invoices.
* If this is a default team, [select another default team](/teams/settings#default-team) first. A team set as a default for any member cannot be deleted.

Open [Unsafe territory](https://sliplane.io/app/team/delete), choose **Delete Team**, and confirm the team name.
