Volumes
Learn how to manage volumes on your servers.
Volumes preserve files between deployments. Open a server’s Volumes tab from the servers overview to manage them.
Adding Volumes
Click Add Volumes and enter a name. You can attach the volume to one or more services on the same server.
Editing Volumes
Select the volume, open its three-dot menu, and choose Edit to rename it.
Deleting Volumes
Detach all services from the volume, then select Delete in its three-dot menu. Deletion permanently removes the volume's data.
Volume Backups
Volumes are backed up daily by default, with 7-day retention.
Volume backups may not be consistent for actively written databases. Use a database-specific backup procedure when needed, and test restores.
Restoring a Backup
Click Restore next to a backup and check its status while it runs. Restoration creates a new volume; detach the old volume from your service and attach the restored one.
Creating a Backup manually
Select Create Backup in the volume’s three-dot menu. You can create one manual backup per volume every 30 minutes.
